Visitor to Daphne Simons’ open studio event at the Caselberg House plays with the Volca, 2026.

Nau mai, haere mai ki te Blue Oyster's back room, to meet fellow musicians who are making things digitally (or thinking about it).

Bring your curiosity and perhaps some way to share your process/programs/projects!

This is an unstructured event for peer-to-peer info and excitement exchange. We’re providing snacks, space, and time; you get to decide the rest.

This event spins out from the GULLED exhibition by Daphne Simons. Early on in the production phase, Daphne invited visitors to play on their volca drum synthesister when they were experimenting with ideas for the soundtrack.

Although the artist will not be present, Daphne and soundtrack collaborator Jared Pinfold have provided some information about their process for participants to check out during the event.
