Come along to hear from professional artists, Nick Austin, Madison Kelly (Kāi Tahu, Kāti Māmoe, Pākeha) and Illish Thomas speak about things they wish they knew earlier! This will be a great discussion that focuses on practical advice for artists.
Blue Oyster is proud to present a series of visual arts capability events in collaboration with Aratoi. These three panel discussions are aimed at unveiling the processes behind how exhibitions are made in commercial and non-commercial galleries as well as providing practical advice for artists.
There will be time after each panel to connect with each other and share a cup of tea.
This is a drop in event, it will be approximately one hour and there will be seating in the gallery. Blue Oyster is wheelchair accessible however our bathroom is inaccessible. There will be light refreshments (vegan and gluten free options available).
This series will continue through 2026, with more events planned. Each one is not to be missed!
