We invite you to join us on a tour of Otago Museum with Assistant Curator Māori, Jamie Metzger, during the final days of Hā, by Arapeta Ashton at Blue Oyster Art Project Space. Offering a glimpse into the kākahu held in their collection, this back-of-house tour will focus on examples of kākahu that feature some of the lesser-known fibres such as the kiekie, houhere, tikumu and pātītī as well as the unique needs of these taonga within a museum environment.

Jamie Metzger (Ngāi Tahu) is Assistant Curator Māori at Otago Museum, a PhD Candidate in Te Tumu (University of Otago) and the Kaitiaki Ika Tauhou nominee on the Museums Aotearoa Board.

The exhibition is open until Sunday 6 October, 3pm.
