A Dream is like A Magic Cloak

A Dream is like A Magic Cloak are an Ōtepoti-based group of improvisers. Normally a violin/violin/guitar three-piece. For the Blue Oyster show they will be performing as a duo - Ro Rushton-Green (Sewage, Shape of a Mouth) and Peter Porteous (Ghost Bells, Eye). The plan is a musical response to the exhibition, let’s see what happens!

Kelly/Shaw

Kelly/Shaw is the long distance drone/crash drums/guitar band/collaboration of two friends/artists across Ōtepoti/Ōtautahi.

Madison Kelly and Luke Shaw met in 2023, when they exhibited sound works opposite each other in a group show called Springtime is Heart-break: Contemporary Art in Aotearoa. The pair have been playing sets opposite each other ever since, at venues like Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetū, The Physics Room, and Te Wai Ngutu Kākā.
