Please join Fu-On Chung and Sam Thomas in conversation as they look at the concept of fantasy with equally diverse approaches, yet the shared medium of painting to expand and evolve elements of a shared unknown.

Sam Thomas

Sam Thomas (1989) is a painter based between Auckland and Rarotonga. Thomas is a founding member of Snake Pit (2011) and Mirage (2016). Recent exhibitions include: Nets with Fu-On Chung, GLOVEBOX (2016); Porgies with James Wylie, curated by Karl Bayly, Ramp Gallery, Hamilton (2016);Sacred Economies, curated by Balamohan Shingade, Malcolm Smith Gallery, Howick (2016); You know more than I know with Denys Watkins, Bath St Gallery, Parnell (2016).

Sam Thomas is interested in the mortality of culture and tradition.
