Past Exhibition

In the Lower Gallery, Dunedin based artist Jay Hutchinson's from textile to concrete explores intensive process of hand embroidery. Local graffiti is sampled and reproduced as meticulous and often elaborate textile pieces. During this process the raw psychology of the urban environment is translated through another medium, altering it the way it is presented to the viewer.
