Scott Flanagan presents 867 Hours Underground in the Upper Gallery and Darkside Gallery - exhibiting outcomes from his Summer Residency at the Blue Oyster.

His first public installation in New Zealand in two years, the exhibition is a continuation the material enquiry from Scott's 2010 residency in Korea where he was the sixth International Artist in Residence at the National Museum of Contemporary Art at Goyang Studios.

Scott Flanagan

Originally from Christchurch, Scott Flanagan lives in Port Chalmers. A recipient of awards and residencies, including an Asia New Zealand Foundation Arts Residency Exchange, with work collected by institutional and private collectors, S.Flanagan maintains a disciplined practise on the boundaries of experimental/commercial art.
